Our Technology and Communication class offered many exciting advancements in the field. Our Weebly sites that we developed is one of those advancements and has become such a useful tool to organize many of the other things that we learned in this class and in all of our other classes. In addition to being a living professional portfolio, the site allows for access to my lesson plans, newsletters, course outlines and classroom policies. Aside from the Weebly websites there are other technologies that I learned in this course that I use regularly. Below are some assignments and technological tools that I have used in my classroom. Also prevalent in my classroom is the use of Youtube to project short instructional videos and Infinite Campus to take attendance and post grades.
QuizletThe quizlet website helped me create this quiz for my 3rd Grade Health class. Any chance I can offer a way for my students to complete an assessment tool outside of the classroom. This quiz is online and students access it at home and complete on their own. The grading is immediate which provides quick feedback to the students.

WIKIspacesThis particular discussion board was an area that our class could post links to educational games and see ones that were posted by other educators. It was neat to be able to share some tools that I have used with other teachers and try some games that I haven't seen before. This type of peer interaction is made easy by the creation of the WIKI page that allows for posting links and commenting on things that you're sharing and seeing.

Assignment posted on our class Blackboard/Screenshot
The following is a screenshot an assignment I posted on our class blackboard. The assignment was to research and give pros and cos to online degrees received through online universities. The assignments were posted where everyone in the class could view and comment on what was posted. We were able to see what others in the class researched and each others thoughts on this topic.

Link to Baseball Website
This is a link to the second website that I created for my baseball team. It's a way way for anyone interested in the program to access information such as: coaches bios, game and practice schedules, photos, links to camps and team rosters.

Link to Animoto
The Animoto videos were easy to make and a fun animated way for me to display the progression of my students artworks. I have made short slideshow videos that display the start to finish development of art pieces that my students have created. The one in this link is one that I created of a student's painting in my Drawing & Painting 1 class.

Links to Podcasts
The link posted is a list I found that contain some podcasts that I have listened to. Podcasts are audio files usually about specific topics that can be found online and downloaded to be played whenever the listener wants. The ones I've linked here are ones that are specific for Art teachers. I have gained several new ideas while listening to these.
